Cowes Ale House
After Newport Ale House received a loyal following and won several awards, it was decided to open a second Establishment in 2013; Cowes Ale House. This was set up on the same lines as Newport Ale House, they are instantly recognisably related and Cowes Ale House is the second smallest pub on the Island, behind its sister. To see the latest updates surrounding live music, beers and events, see our Facebook page.
How pubs used to be and should be
Taking our winning formula into our second establishment
Cowes Ale House is a traditional drinking establishment where people come and socialise. Opened in march 2013 and sister to the popular Newport Ale House, we serve up to five real ales direct from the barrel which are always changing as well as fine lagers, wines and spirits.
Traditional pub snacks such as locally sourced pork pies , cheese and meat platters, rolls and meat pies fill a gap if you are hungry as do our famous pork scratchings. If you yearn for the days before pubs became restaurants, no fruit machines or tv’s and where the landlord and staff are pleased to see you visit Cowes Ale House, you’ll be sure of a warm welcome.
